A Tunisian carpet, woven in sheep wool by Tunisian artisans in Kairouan, Oudhref or El Jem. Hand woven by Tunisian artisans with traditional weaving traditions inherited by several generations. This carpet is thicker than a kilim, very resistant and durable, each carpet is made by a single craftsman from start to finish and is therefore unique. Can be used as a bed drop, hallway rug, bathroom rug, wall rug.
Also called Margoum or Mergoum, this Tunisian carpet of Berber origin is generally composed in its designs of several diamonds of different sizes, a Berber symbol of fertility. All Tunisian rugs are certified authentic by the Tunisian crafts office on one of the corners of the back of the carpet, A certificate giving the date of manufacture, dimensions, weight, registration number of the carpet, the material (wool), weaving by hand and then its quality; first or second choice of weaving.
